Light Duty Floor Grinder
I can’t believe how much a nice floor machine costs… can you?!! Finding an affordable, light duty floor grinder took a while but when I came across Hawk brand machines I was amazed by the price. Then I bought one and I was amazed by the durability! The first one I got was in 2007 and I still use it to this day as my back up machine. I have another newer model that I brutally beat up with grinding job after grinding job. The things last forever!

The machine I use is a Brute so that’s what I’m carrying. It has an optional water tank for wet grinding. In addition, it can carry 75 pounds of weights added for better performance. For example, our fully equipped model comes with 50 pounds (2 x 25 lbs ) of horseshoe weights. I like it because I can lift it in and out of my truck by myself. To clarify, into either the bed or the cab. It’s easy to transport through dirt and gravel when working on rural jobs. It also goes up and down stairs well. I lift it or drop it down stair by stair… easy peazy!
We’re also carrying an awesome wet / dry vacuum system and the CLAW pad driver. This thing is the most heavy duty pad driver for these swing machines. It can run either 3″ round diamonds or dual traps for more aggressive grinding. It’s weighted too!
Check out my videos and you can watch this thing in action. I can usually knock out 500 sq. ft. of grinding a day on average. A lighter grind I get a little more, heavier grind I get a little less. Similarly with the Claw pad driver I get around 600 sq. ft. of HEAVY grinding done in ONE DAY!
