Description
Titan Coat
All high quality garage floor coatings require diamond grinding, but not Titan Coat! This single component, high wear urethane coating holds up like a polyaspartic or polyurea but without all of the prep hassle. I’ve been using this urethane for over a year now with great results for my clients. It’s great for anyone who wants the protection of a garage floor coating without having to diamond grind the concrete beforehand.
More Info On Titan Coat
Titan Coat is a single component (meaning no mixing), high solids urethane. It’s non-breathable so you’ll get that stain resistance usually reserved for epoxies and polyurea coatings. The cool thing is that the bonding ability is higher than epoxies or polyureas so no diamond grinding is required. It should hold up to hot tire pick up, stains from automotive fluids, and wear from foot and vehicle traffic. Titan Coat is rolled on similarly to a house paint. Two coats are required for maximum protection.
So get away from that boring flake garage floor your neighbor has and think about clear coating your garage. Or maybe stain your garage floor with Color Mist Stain, then coat!
Application
The kit comes with two gallons of coating and one small bottle of cross linker. Add the cross linker to the base coat, mix with a stir stick for a minute, and it’s ready to apply. Roll on the coating like you would with a paint, approximately 200-400 square feet per gallon. as soon as you’re done with the base coat wait an hour or until the coating isn’t tacky. Then apply the topcoat in the same manner. Make sure to back roll a couple of times to smooth out the coating… but don’t overwork the coating. This could cause an orange peel effect in the sheen. Ready for vehicle traffic in 72 hours (under regular temperatures) and is fully cured in one week.
Since it’s a single component there’s unlimited pot life so you can work at your own pace. pour Titan Coat right into a clean paint tray and work directly from there.
