Resin Quartz Granules
Resin quartz granules are a durable, beautiful broadcast that is installed with urethane or polyaspartic coatings… similar to polymer flakes. Quartz granules are a great option for an extremely durable flooring solution you can offer your clients when they don’t want their floor to look like the typical garage flake floor. Truthfully, I’m surprised more companies don’t offer this. It’s a little more expensive than the flake systems since typically you do a double broadcast, but well worth the money. A great option for affluent home owners or high end businesses.
The application is similar to a flake broadcast. Firstly, the first coat is a colored coat that acts as a strong binder to the concrete. The quartz is broadcast into the first coat. Secondly, the area is vacuumed and a clear coat is applied. Then the second broadcast is done. Thirdly, the area is vacuumed again. Then the final clear coat is rolled on.
Always diamond grind and thoroughly clean the concrete before applying this type of coating system.

Orders are in 50 lbs (pound) bags. Usually for a double broadcast you’ll use 1 – 2 lbs. per square foot of concrete.
