Versatec Nano-Quartz Sealer
Versatec surface sealer is what I use when I’m hired for commercial applications. The resinous sealers of the past are slowly becoming obsolete because of advancements in chemistry… like Versatec! Concrete Chemistries has formulated this amazing sealer with a nano-quartz which makes it extremely abrasion resistant. It also has great adhesion so no diamond grind is needed prior to application. It’s glossy, non-slip, water based, low odor and easy to apply… what can be better?!!
Additional Information About Versatec
Versatec can be used on interior and exterior surfaces. In addition, it works well for high foot traffic areas like stores, hotels, warehouses, schools, driveways, and garages. Because Versatec is so thin it leaves the concrete with a much more natural look compared to resinous coatings like epoxies. For instance, because it’s UV resistant and won’t yellow or cloud over time. To clarify, two to four coats are required to get the extreme strength and wear resistance.
To clarify, each coat should be applied within one hour of each other for proper bonding. Apply multiple thin coats instead of one thick coat for best results.
In addition, Versatec can be used in conjunction with Color Mist concrete stain for a vibrant, beautiful look to your concrete.
Coverage
Versatec gets excellent coverage. For example, it gets around 800 – 1,200 sq. ft. for the first coat and 1,000 – 1,500 sq. ft. for any additional coats.
Application:
1. Ensure surface is clean, dry and free of dirt, waxes or coatings.
2. Apply Versatec to the concrete using a shedless roller, HPLV pump sprayer, or flat microfiber pad (for smooth surfaces). Distribute product evenly over entire surface to ensure uniform coverage. DO NOT allow the sealer to puddle. This sealer is meant to be applied VERY THIN and build up it’s durability through multiple coats (four coats maximum).
3. Allow sealer to dry for an hour before applying the next coat. All coats should be applied the same day.
4. Subsequently, it’s ready for light foot traffic in 6 hours. Fully cures in seven days.
